    New mudflaps

The AliExpress ones come with all the fittings, no need to drill or anything like that. Simply take out the screws that hold the wheel arch liners in, put the mud flaps in place and put the screws back in. I think if memory serves I needed slightly longer screws at the front in the lower holes...

My Solution for Rear Number Plate on MG5

Hi All So I've just 'sorted' my rear number plate... Did the same as 'Ian MG5' but with a slight twist.... I removed the MG5 badge and just moved it ever so slightly to the right so it didn't foul the number plate (You know the thing that has annoyed me... I did not touch the 'SW' and 'EV'...

Care of the Exclusive 'Mock Leather' Seats

Ah now this looks interesting! Might give it a go I did also wonder about furniture polish as Smokie said but I wonder if it may make it a bit greasy? Perhaps the best option may be a simple as a damp microfibre cloth, perhaps they don't need 'care' as such, just cleaning gently from time to time??

Care of the Exclusive 'Mock Leather' Seats

Hi All Does anyone have any advice on what is best to nourish and protect the mock leather seats in the MG5 Exclusive. I was going to treat them all today to some nice quality leather cream as I would have done in my lovely old Audi A4 S-Line but then I stopped and thought ... no these are not...

    MG5 Factory reset

Hi All Just had an issue following public charging... plugged in a 22KW 'Fuuse' charger and it began charging, then stopped after about 20 seconds. Disconnected and tried again but no luck. Then tried to move the car to another space to try another charger and got a 'System Fault' error and the...

    Dashboard faults

Hi Gomev.... I'm so glad you said that bit about taking time when 'starting' the car because each time I have seen the issue with the radio, and last week with all the errors, much like the ones above, I have jumped in, pressed the 'On' button and put it in to gear very quickly so it does seem...

    Knocking noise

Hi GRK - It was my car that was fixed by MG UK - Not really sure what they did but it was organised via my local dealer, who, to be honest, were brilliant. PM me if you want any info Charles

    MG5 Factory reset

?? It was more a figure of speech than a direct instruction! I think I'll be getting one but I hope I never have to use it! It does seem many people have had to deploy the 10mm spanner trick so for me having a thumb wheel simply means if either me or the wife are driving the car if the symptoms...

    Disconnecting battery qwick fix

Yes, totally agree. It seems the whole infotainment system is buggy and TBH I don't really understand the issue with sometimes having to disconnect the 12V battery following a rapid charge.... It's not happened to me yet but I'm sure it will at some point. I guess the issue is that if MG...

    MG5 Factory reset

I think we all need to fit a quick release isolator to the battery, seems like it will save hassle in the event of need. Has anyone found one that will fit with having to cut anything. I'm looking at this one but can't work out if it'll fit...

MG5 LR - Multiple system faults

Hi All - quick update on this.... At the same time as posting here this morning I also emailed the dealer - Well to their credit they collected the car today and have just emailed me to say it's fixed... So... good service but what did they do... Well all I know is they did a 'BCM (Body Module...

Dead car / flat 12 volt battery 😰

Hi All I too have a USB Lithium jump pack (This one: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09KNBSPG3). It works brilliantly on my daughters 1100 Picanto but never yet tried in on the MG5 LR.... Has anyone actually used it on the MG5 to 'Jump Start' it in the event of need.. In other words I guess I'm...
