My MG5 LR is now 16 months old and up to now has always charged to 100%.
Over the last few charges it has been stopping at random percentages and I can not work out why this happens.
Anyone any ideas?
Received a Carlinkit 4.0 from Amazon today. Not happy.
Plugged it in and initialised it connected easily to Bluetooth and came up on screen.
I moved the box to try and get it some ware
Safe and it cut out. Re connected it but every time it moved it disconnected.
Not good in a moving car then...
I did my first long journey yesterday mostly on the motorway and dual track.
Went from Worcester to Brampton in Cambridgshire. 104 miles each way.
Left at 10:30am
M5 to M42 then on to M6 to the A14. The journey took me two hours each way.
I set the ICC to 60 mph and only twice flicked it up...
I managed to find a 50Kw CCS charger in Worcester that worked. In a local pub. Just wanted to get used to rapid charging.
connected up with no problems and it started charging so I left it to walk down to a local Waitrose for about 30 minutes.
when I got back the charger was still charging but...
Just did a small modification to my MG5 as I had an incident with a locked charge cable in town the other day and had to remove the cover to get at the cable release.
see photos below. I just tied a bit of nylon cord to the release pull and threaded it through the windscreen washer refill hole...
I tried to use the button on the bottom right hand side of the steering wheel which I thought was voice control for the phone
has anyone any idea what it is for as nothing happened when I pressed it?
Got my MG5 LR last Monday and I have charged it three times but it has never got up to 250 miles range although it is registering 100% charged.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Or is it a problem cell on the battery pack?
