Yes, poor use of words and should have said measuring points rather than meters! One CT is inbuilt in the backup unit and one is external clamped onto the main house supplier's meter tails.
Thanks for that information, hopefully the software update won't take too long and then it will all work ok. The problem arose because I have a backup unit and also 2 separate consumer units one of which is backed up and one which isn't. So there are 2 separate meters in play, one for the whole...
Update. Solaredge support has identified that my particular system setup has not been done before and it has revealed a software issue which they are now working to resolve. Solaredge support has been proactive and hopefully an update will resolve the issue.
Just had a Solaredge charger fitted. First charge for a trial worked but when disconnected the car then came up with a system fault and refused to power up. Disconnected the battery and the car then reset ok.
Until this is resolved would suggest caution about Solaredge chargers.
Went onto BG EV tariff and it took nearly 6 months for them to get the smart meter (which was only 7 months old) to work and for me to get cheap electricity overnight. It cost them £350 in compensation once I got the Ombudsman involved.
It's not quite true that the slower the better and driving slower than lorries on busy motorways is hair raising.
There is a base load from all the electrical stuff in the car (hydraulic pump, cooling pumps, heater/aircon etc) and the total KWHr these loads use from your available battery...
Son rang to ask me to bring our MG5 over as his Leaf wouldn't charge on his Zappi, but would charge on the granny charger.
MG wouldn't charge either so we started investigating the tethered cable for damage and sprayed some WD40 around the terminals. Still no luck. Then we noticed something in...
That is why testing of pressure vessels is done with water not gas as the stored energy with water is hugely less in the event that the vessel under test fails.
I had a similar experience with a different MG garage, they had ticked some things which they had clearly not done at all and left unticked things that they should have done.
Garage immediately offered to redo the whole (1st) service for free.
I would not go back to that garage and would not...
Went away for 2 weeks (without car) and when I got back decided to see what the state of the 12v battery was. So pressed start/stop button twice without foot on brake. The 12 volt battery showed 11.8 volts and dropping which suggested that it was at a low state of charge. Took car for a 20...
When the car is locked and charging if you stand by the drivers door and press lock again on the key fob the dashboard will show you the charging status. I charge mine using a timer so that I can stop it when I calculate it will reach 80%
It is a biennial item in cars with ordinary brake fluid as the glycol based fluids are hygroscopic and the braking efficiency drops off with increased water content and also the components might corrode. If you want to avoid it you need to go for silicone brake fluid but this is only suitable...
Unlike oil or natural gas, transporting hydrogen over long distances is not an easy task. Hydrogen liquefaction is an extremely energy-intensive process, while maintaining the low temperature required for long-distance transportation and storage purposes results in additional energy losses and...
