Not sure whether this has already been covered but the car can't tell the charger how much it needs to fully charge. Hence, if it is not fully charged at the end of the 7kW charge period, it will revert to trickle charging until it is and then drop to about 300W for a period whilst it does its...
I would only charge to 100% if I really needed max range, otherwise stopping at around 80% or 35kWh. This gives me around 100 miles in winter or 130 in summer but depends on conditions, speed and driving style, speed being the range-killer for a high-drag SUV-style vehicle. Good battery...
Not difficult to work out approximate state of charge from remaining range and set the charge accordingly, either timed (at 7kW) or kWh added. As mentioned above, keeping between 20% and 80% is recommended together with an occasional full charge, maybe to coincide with a long run, to re-balance...
Hi Pete - thanks. I've just had 017 done but not 010. Maybe the fuse update was a bodge until the 017 software update became available as the earlier BMS updates seem to have been.

Via the timer on your charger. Previously the car rejected timed charges initiated from the charger but, following BMS software updates in Dec/Jan, it now wakes up.
Agree on default mode setting, screen lag and the too short time for message displays. With ACC and collision avoidance, I find these things are not as clever as they're made out to be and relying on them too much can be dangerous. E.g. when on a main road and passing a side-turning with a lower...
Incorrect - the Zappi is "smart" in that it needs an internet connection which means you need to install the Hub (extra £80 or so), not a smart meter. That means your supplier will eventually have the ability to delay your charge at times of peak demand. Unlikely to matter if you charge...
I've had this a few times and always due to not pressing the brake hard enough, releasing the brake too early (keep it pressed until drive selected and you are ready to move off) or trying to select drive before the ready message. Since getting into the right habits it's not recurred.
I suspect a bigger battery would push them into a price range (comparable with Kia e-Niro) incompatible with their brand values despite likely demand. Currently they have the niche to themselves (price similar to Zoe but substantially bigger car) and their market is people who need a bigger car...
And even if you do go with PV, you don't really need a Zappi - just set the timer for between 10am and 3pm or so. Unless you get a large array (>4kW) or need a full charge for long runs on consecutive days, you could probably just use the granny charger and save the £300-500 or so on a 7kW...
Solar only worth it these days if you use what you generate thereby giving you a return (saving) of around 15p/unit in addition to (now derisory) FiT and export returns. Although you might break even, it is not really worth it if you are out around the middle of the day and won't use it unless...
