A very non-scientific experiment.....
I’ve asked on a few forums about the benefit of pre-heating the car on very cold days to try and avoid the initial cold running mi/kWh effect and the general consensus was it wasn't worth it.
Well after a particularly poor run when I got 6 miles for...
Had my car recovered by AA for HV battery fault which happened whilst driving the car. All the usual repair option failed and the car is now at the garage (main MG dealer in Scotland). Having spoken to the dealer I may have a long wait as they have 10 recovered cars needing diagnosed/repaired...
I’ve read through some of the comments on the V2L being used to supplement the household electricity consumption and would like to share that at least one person is doing this using a Kia EV6 albeit they manual switch between the car supplying the house and the grid supplying the house each day...
Does anyone who is familiar with this problem recognise this screw? I found it in the drivers footwell of my MG ZS EV MK1 and yes I have the clicking (although it's intermittent)
Yes, these service plans were withdrawn last year. You might still be able to get a service plan by asking your dealer.
Main reason now for the thread is to illustrate expected prices of individual services for low and normal mileage services and to highlight the things to watch out for if you...
Is it a Mk1 or Mk2 ZS? If it’s a Mk1 have a read of this thread. It’s about low mileage service plans, but has details of the prices for standard services in the images.

If they are reasonably priced it’s worth a look. I wrote up this thread about service plans when they were offered by MG in 2020/21

It’s like any other bling you put on the car - it makes it yours. They can be expensive - someone recently bought MGZ II for £4.5k (and no it wasn’t me) - this makes MGIIZEV a bargain for a Mk2 owner 😜
There are some good MGnnZEV number plates out there including MG70ZEV, MG71ZEV and these
If you look at the images it on the start of this thread it shows 2nd year service for low mileage at around £90 and standard mileage about double that. I know a number of people who’ve paid those prices. That said I also know a couple that have been charged significantly more, so shop around...
Really interesting. I had considered the inverter attached to 12v battery route (with HV battery switched in too of course) but was worried about about damaging the 12v battery.
Unfortunately these deals aren’t available, MG apparently had a fall out with Ecodynamics. You now need to contact dealers direct and ask if they do a service plan. The principle should still stand though as MG do have a low mileage service.
I'd write an email to the head of service and the branch manger (make sure you use the @MG.CO.UK email address as this is also monitored by MG head office) expressing your concerns. There is a low mileage service for vehicles registered from late 2020 and it's is even supported my an MG document...
Have a read if the thread below. It explains the benefits and pitfalls of certain types of MG Service Plans
