I'm having same issue, Android Auto is very inconsistent, I didn't even have the App and it sometimes worked, now I have the App nothing at all tried the reinstall moving the USB cable to different ports, still nothing, just that message stop your car and connect to USB bla bla, annoying to say...

Has anybody else had problems with granny charging making the output socket and therefore the plug very hot? I have to use an extension as I can't get close enough to my house for the charger to go directly into the wall socket. I thought it may have been the extension cable but bought a new one...
