    MG ZS EV Shipping Updates

I went for option 3. Never got any acknowledgment from Glyn Hopkin.

    So long

After 18 months of ZS EV and the further delay of the new one ordered back in December I have decided to part company. I am not dropping EV’s but need something with a longer range. I have always appreciated the vibe of the virtual gang and meeting people in real world either owners or curious...

    MG ZS EV Shipping Updates

I received a call from Glyn Hopkin in Milton Keynes. The LR car I ordered on December 4 has been now advised as September noting this been delayed twice already. The guy offered me an SR when I said I was minded to cancel my order so it looks like there are plenty about and MG UK will be trying...

MG ZS Forum Member Order Tracker

Thank you for this. I have the same on order but no updates since mid March so I am likely to cancel.

What can you get in your MG ZS EV?

Did you know the backs of the seats can be removed to make even more space? Check out Tesla Bjorn and his banana box test when reviewing EV’s.

    Centre vents

Firstly is it turned on? Push the button on the left hand knob if there is not a light showing. If you press either the up or down arrows on the panel where the fan speed is it should cycle through the vents. This is not helped as the console lags badly. At the top of the screen adjacent to the...

    New ZS EV driver

Welcome to the gang. I felt exactly the same in December, picking up mine on December 30. I guess you have the car now. As far as software goes - if you have the latest version installed you should be fine. The dealer should do this as a matter of course. The sat nav has to be updated with a...

    Charger + 10m Type 2 Cable £159.99 @ Screwfix

That looks to be a really good deal. If you buy one could you write a review?

Is it ok to charge to 100% with a granny charger?

I used my granny for a couple of months and it worked just fine and found it needed about 22 hours or so. I went ahead and had a 7kW faster charger installed so been using that. There’s a bit to learn with your new EV but it’s straightforward and I am sure you will quickly get used to a...

    Service plan £6 / month

Unfortunately No. My mate took the picture of his first EV ‘commission’ but when it gets done there will be plenty of before and after pictures.

    The White cars DO rust

This was through the Go Green Auto’s channel. Really informative and in a recent upload a Nissan Leaf was reviewed. The Leaf was in much better shape so I think owners of the ZS who are in it for the long term should consider investing in preventative work.

    Service plan £6 / month

I had mine on the ramps today and there are obvious areas of corrosion on. I am looking to undertake some preventative work.

    NAF test

NAF have the ZS included in this weeks winter test of a range of EVs. The test runs over Wednesday and Thursday (I think) on public roads. The results will be interest for many of us with BMS concerns as to how the car fairs - looking at the line up I expect it will be at the bottom maybe...

    Front Camera Blocked

That looks really nice. My sons BMW has this look and I was thinking of the same thing for the ZS before I bought it. A job for the spring.

    Front Camera Blocked

The radar sensor is below the front number plate. The tinting is applied to the inside and I doubt of the installer will need to remove the module that contains the camera (also the windscreen looks to be quite tinted in this area anyway).

    Isnt it nice

For me it works brilliantly once it was pointed out it requires the seat belt to be clipped in.

Has anyone had their car on a car lift?

When I get the chance I will have it on ramps just to be nosey!!

    Isnt it nice

It works incredibly well now that I understand it requires the seat belt to be worn.

    Isnt it nice

Same here! Aside being confused by the auto-hold, I am impressed with the quality, features and comfort. The winter weather does appear to restrict the range but I think this is common with all EV‘s. If you look up Electric Vehicle Life on YouTube there’s a fantastic 9 minute video on dealing...
