Just done the drive home, and used an Ionity Passport, for the month, at a cost of 10.99 for the month, which isn't included in the figures below. We used slightly less electric, at 436kwh, but cost was considerable lower at £185.88 and the average cost per kwh £0.42 (which for rapid charging...

Has anybody ordered an new car in the last few weeks, that could give me an idea of the current delivery times on a new order?

    Driving Roads

Had family over visiting recently, so we've been doing the Montana-Sofia mountain pass a couple of times, and have to say the ZS is one of the best cars I've driven on the road. (Dare say there would be better electric cars for it), over the years I've driven the road in everything from Puegoet...

    Shorter aerials

I fitted one that looked identical to the pictures, and at first everything worked fine, however after a month or so, the grandkids started complaining that they didn't have wifi. On investigation, the hotspot (Trophy Connect) was not getting signal in nearly as many areas. I'm only guessing but...

    MG ZS MPG Figures

Thought I'd share some figures I've worked out for equivalent MPG figures, based on local electric prices and fuel prices. Home Charging in the UK (No Cheap Night rates etc.) we are getting equivalent to 112MPG On my recent Euro Trip, Rapid Charging I got equivalent to 43MPG Here in Bulgaria...

For those interested in my voltage drop. I have a 40a contacter now setup to power up the charger on our cheap electric, I also rigged logging at the Pole, however I'll move that inside the property in due course. The property logger is a PZEM-004T and temporary lashed into our meter box on...

Maybe a white car was a mistake.

Yes it was dealer "paint protection", it was branded but can't remember the exact one, think there is a sticker in the car if I remember to look. Do you have a recommend ceramic coat to use? I'd be surprised if I find it over here but I can have a look, if not the car might be red by the time I...

Maybe a white car was a mistake.

It was coated as part of the package from the dealer, somehow I think "just hose it off" won't be that simple.

Maybe a white car was a mistake.

Thought a white car might be cooler in the Bulgarian Sun, which may or may not be right. However there is another issue.......

To clarify, this is a 32a, wallbox, I deliberately picked up, an older dumb charger, because I know the Bulgarian power supply can be "interesting" at time, especially in some of the villages, of which we are in one at the moment. I have enough "toys" in the house that tell me the voltage etc...

Well I got my charger installed today, so charged to 100% to get an idea how the long trip effected the estimated range. I was quite surprised to see 323miles in iSmart app, I thought fully loaded 70+ might have killed the range estimate or at least knocked it back abit. I normally see about...

Yeah if you get fed up of waiting for the Ionity to disconnect, just do it from the car, it's pretty near instant.

Never thought how that looked, Fines is a Bulgarian charging network. Incidentally both Echarge (Romanian) and Fines (Bulgarian) require pre-payment into their account, which I find a little old school, and a little unpractical, you always end up with money left, or not enough money in the account.

Didn't try the Tesla Superchargers, seems to much of a complication for me, which are open, which are tesla only etc. however Ionity were brilliant where we had them, I know how if they were faulty before I got there, and how full they were (although I'm guessing that isn't very upto date) Max...

Arrived, I'll do some proper messages later, next to hot shower, brew and bed. Firstly the car and the charging all performed faultlessly. I fully expected a broken charger, or long queues somewhere. All 12 charges worked faultlessly (Note I had 2 No 10s when I look back) Some where faster...

Finally last charge, in Bulgaria no. 11 We did have a fail to charge on the way here, but not the fault of the car, or the network. Some other clown. I'll explain later.

I lied about driving time it's nearer 19hrs now. Stop 9, which really should have been 8 had we not had a tester stop Stop 10 is another unnecessary test charge for e-charge in Romania, making sure that they work before we actually need it Typically about 150miles between charges, but of...
