I have a feeling the speech recognition is done on the Google servers - I think. If you've got a pants mobile data signal at the time, that might explain the lack of voice recog.

My inclination would be to kill the mains supply to the charger without the car connected, obv (switch off at the circuit breaker probably in your meter cupboard), forcing a reboot of the Zappi.

2020 MG5 SR and I'm getting anything up to 240 miles out of the battery, based on usage of 100% to about 15%, calculated on miles done plus GOM estimate of the remainer.

If it's some kind of DAB antenna it'll be connected to the radio. Is there a wire coming away from the thing and disappearing into the dash somewhere,? If you have a phone, or access to one, with NFC capabilities, that might show whether it is an RFID tag. A negative result might just be an...

Check there's nothing trapped betwixt the top of the tailgate and frame, especially under the aerofoil bit. Had a malformed acorn trapped there which was graunching against the bodywork as the tailgate was being closed.

MG5 SR pre facelift with datasheet max of 217 miles range. After a ~ 190 mile trip, done on a single charge, the total of miles done plus GOM predicted miles left was 240. I've achieved similar values on other comparable runs. Well happy.

You really need to download and use ZapMap. That would tell you which chargers are close by, which are occupied and which are working. You can filter results to only show 50kW units or higher, specific operators and connection type.

MG5 SR, pre facelift (70 plate). Just got back from a 380 mile round trip from Norfolk to Sussex and back. Car well loaded with luggage, 2 up, Aircon on most of the time. Started with 100% charge from home charger. Got to Sussex in one, with 20% remaining. GOM remaining range plus miles covered...

Now at 48% remaining. Without any Aircon running and in Economy mode, the GOM says 98 miles left in the battery. Odometer was reset when the car was fully charged and now reads 150 miles. So that's a total range of 248 against a spec of 217.
