222 on GOM in an SR

Hi, my MG5 was plugged into my Zappi soaking up some rays. We decided to pop out for a drive and found that the car had charged to 100% and was showing 222.
I have only ever seen 218 once before.

My 2020 SR is spec'd at 217 miles. Today adding miles driven plus GOM miles remaining estimate, I am seeing 233, which goes up to 240 odd if I shut off the a/c.
Getting comparable figures on long runs when I'm left with charge in the region of 17%, so well pleased.

Now at 48% remaining. Without any Aircon running and in Economy mode, the GOM says 98 miles left in the battery. Odometer was reset when the car was fully charged and now reads 150 miles. So that's a total range of 248 against a spec of 217.

The pre-FL SR always appears to do a lot better than the spec suggests.

I would agree that the "Early Covid Special MG5s" do appear to give a good range I often get 225 miles and I live in hilly West Wales.
I wonder if its the lack of annoying gizmos like lane assist (which does not work on the roads where I live )
