    12 volt cooler

If you need long term power for a fridge or the like and can't get the car to supply it when it's switched off you might consider buying a decent capacity leisure battery as a less convenient way of doing it. More weight and lost space but......

    Corrosion Question

You are wrong. I don't troll, unlike some of the posters in this thread, confused or not. I'm in the process of trying to make decisions regarding changing two family cars after 6 and 8 years and am trying get enough information to make the right decision. It's as simple as that. Yes, I...

    Corrosion Question

I'm afraid you're talking nonsense. I've had a test drive in a 5 and am waiting for the 2022 facelift, should it come to the UK. There's nothing ancient about the current postings about rust on the ZS - they're some of the later posts in the thread re the sale offer to forum members.

    Corrosion Question

Seeing some prospective purchasers of the facelift ZS expressing concern about underbody corrosion on their current cars got me searching for any such issues with the MG5. Apart from the threads about cavities left empty by unfitted mud flaps, and wheel hubs / copper grease I didn't find...

MG5 EV Range is Very Exaggerated

Love the red, and the front end looks like a real car, unlike the facelift I'm waiting for🤔

MG5 EV Range is Very Exaggerated

You don't say what sort of road you carried out the 100 mile trip on but if it was motorway and you're speed was within 10% (over as well as under) of the limit you're not going to get the advertised range. As a phev driver I've learned to love 56 mph 😴

    First service at 15k

Late hijack - I've put a refundable reservation on a facelift ZS with Luscombes in Leeds who I bought my Outlander off (now MG dealers) but Eric Stead are a lot closer at only (?) 20 miles away...would you recommend them for a good sales deal as well as good service?

    Regeneration brake lights

When you think that even most mobile phones have a 10 cent accelerometer in them maybe there's another possible cheap solution.

    Regeneration brake lights

There's another complication that ice cars don't have....irrespective of your speed and kers setting, if your battery is fully charged the car is hardly going to slow down at all when you take your foot off the accelerator, because, as you know, you can't regen into a full battery. Great if the...

    Regeneration brake lights

The ice engine braking example is a good point well made. My Outlander phev is 6 years old and therefore maybe not built to current regulations, but brake lights only illuminate using level 5 regen (highest level) and then only if over (I think) 30 mph. Otherwise, as said, the constant...
