Then give a gentle tug each side of the bumper and work your way in. Have a flat head screw driver handy to un do the parking sensor plugs as their a little tricky to unplug

So there is 2 screws in the wheel arch, 1 at the top of the arch retaining the bumper, 2 underneath the wheel arch (each side) the 2 plastic ones in the middle underneath then there is 1 each side hidden behind the plastic over on the lights as pictured

I understand that, but that would be the same for any car, be it tinted windows or a towbar unless factory fitted of course. Its something I will take on board with the insurance though. I've also tinted my windows and not informed them, probably lost all my bargain tools for this years...

Why wouldn't it be? All the trailer lights work, I'm not towing anything, I'm just carrying bikes, it's no different to putting the bikes on a back of a boot mount rack, only secure and much safer.

They dont, it's off a mk6 astra, I just made it fit. I don't tow with it. It's just to carry a bike rack as I have no other way to carry bikes.

I've fitted a tow bar, I was going to do a thread on it but it turned out to be quite a bit harder than I initially thought.

Hello, I have an MG 5 SR and do 100 miles a day and have done for the last year and a half. Worst case I've had 60 miles left after the commute.

I've replaced the fronts at about 20k as they where worn with kumho Ecsta PS71. The rears have plenty of tread, just worn flats spots on the the insides of the tyres. If mg won't do anything I will end up replacing just becuase of the noise.

Thanks, I'm aware of what it is, I just called is an interior exhaust flap, maybe that's the wrong term. I was just saying that it's quite noticeable in the MG 5, I've owned many cars and never really heard it, and I suspect that is what the knocking noise is when you hit the bumps.

I have the same issue generally when going over speed bumps and I suspect it is the car Interior exhaust flaps. I've noticed the same kind of noise when closing the car doors. My car is due a service in a few thousand miles so they can check it out. Hope that helps
