The car was in my driveway, as the weather was so hot, I was popping in and out but didn’t scrutinise everything the AA bloke did. He was good and seemed to know what he was doing.
I’ll be onto MG on Monday. I need a car from Monday onwards as I’m driving to Cornwall next Friday for a holiday. The car the MG AA cover provides is only for 2 days as per their policy. MG will need to sort out a courtesy car for Monday onwards.
I’ve had the AA out and they’ve towed the car to MG because they couldn’t start it, and the diagnostic computer says there’s a chassis communication fault.
Now I’ve got to wait until MG can look at the car as they’re chock full for at least 2 weeks.
Typically, on the day I really needed to go out and do things, I got into the car and it wouldn’t go! I kept getting ’HV battery shut off’ on the screen whether I was in Auto or Electric mode.
Looking at the 12 volt battery meter, it is red and well below 12v. I’ve no idea why.
I last used...
I bought and collected my car from Toomey MG in Basildon last May and they didn’t mention / try to sell me a service plan.
I looked online and found that Apple MG in the Dartford area we’re doing one at around £28 per month including the year 4 service. I’m booked in for my first service on...
Thanks @a1970man - I've now managed to set my wifi up as suggested and it worked! My PodPoint is now connected to my wifi and the app is working. Thanks so much for your suggestion :)
I'm having the same issues. PodPoint wall charger is literally outside my living room window, about 2 metres from the router but I haven't been able to use the Wi-Fi settings on the PodPoint which is a bit of a pain.
I hope something is sorted with the navigation soon.
I normally use Google Maps via Apple Car Play but for some unknown reason, it wouldn't connect via my usual iPhone cable or the bluetooth device that I use (when it works) - and I had to use the inbuilt navigation system for a 250 mile drive...
For the first time since I collected the car from the dealership, I had the emergency brake kick in whilst driving today.
I was behind a car that suddenly indicated left from a 50mph dual carriageway, to pull onto a not very visible side turning (I thought the car was going off at the next main...
I had a tracker device in the OBD port but the alarm kept going off so I have hidden an Apple AirTag in the vehicle. It was handy to keep an eye on the car's location when it was back at the dealership during the summer.
I’ve got my car back 😁
Paperwork not ready yet, so I won’t know what has actually been done for a couple of weeks due to it being under warranty.
No apologies for the delay, not even fully charged (or a full tank of petrol (!))
I’m in the process of moving house, so things are a little up...
The dealership should be able to sort it. Initially, before all my other issues, they were going to fix it in about an hour but I won't know whether they have actually done it until I get my car back tomorrow.
