Long range was given a weight rating and works well.
Seem to remember short range originally being no rating then later getting a 30kg rating. Hopefully someone will confirm for you.
I thought it was the long range exclusive has 75kg roof weight limit. the standard range had a lower limit.
Good family car. Fits me the mrs the baby and the Labrador in and have done a few camping trips with it to. A squeeze compared to old van but deff manageable.
Some are deff a higher risk than others (but recalls on many of the supposedly better names) and maintenance can indeed reduce the risk. But still one of the highest risks in the home.
Can’t go on octopus go as use octopus agile export for solar.
Also I’m a fire fighter. So very strongly recommend against using tumble dryers over night.
Mate got a Tesla just after I got my 5 and his has way more toys and it’s the quick one so silly fast but way less comfortable for commute.
And so far this year I have spent 380 hours in my car so I deff made the right choice.
I have my 1 yr old in with rear facing seat every day loads of room. Regularly have my 2yr old niece in back to. Regularly have large buggy and my Labrador in boot. Personally prefer the look of an estate over a hatchback and see hatchbacks as a silly compromise. But that’s prob more to do with...
I’ve just clocked over 10000 miles in mine. Owned since December. So far costs have been approx £400 had a screw in side wall of tyre and a bit of motorway charging and odd bit at home overnight. But mostly charged off solar and at work.
A spot of my bike lubricant sorted the squeaking mirror...
Camping this weekend. Baby, Labrador (on middle seat instead of boot). 4 person tent and dog crate plus all usual bits fitted in….. just. Rear footwells packed. No toys taken with me this weekend. Just bare essentials so going to have to work out some space saving ideas for future trips.
Long range so the roof rails was the best option as has bits on roof more often than it doesn’t when I bought lr there was no decent alternative roof rack option.
Now that you need to update us with.
Only have the 1 baby and the 1 Labrador. But rare go away not to do an activity so roof is always full of either kayak/surfboard or bike. Before this car had no baby and a van. The adjustment is a serious challenge.
Trip to my parents is 156 miles. Can do this safely even with a kayak on the roof.
No kayak Friday and nice and warm but got to destination with 38% left. Would equate to about 220 miles of motorway driving range this time of year. (Fully loaded with family and large dog) mg5lr
