    Finished first long distance trip!

Ahhhh! Thanks Gomev - that will come in useful the next time I have to use Bonnet :) Many thanks. Cheers Bloggsy

    Finished first long distance trip!

I used the Ionity chargers at Alnwick a wee while ago and the codes I had for the Bonnet app didn't work but found my Octopus Juice card did. Although I got a slightly cheaper rate, it was still very expensive but I got a very fast charging speed and lunch at the nearby hotel (apologies but I...

    Scheduled Charging

Hi jaykew - I've got a PodPoint Solo which I got installed 18 months ago but I use the app and that provides me with the ability to schedule charging and has, with an exception of a day, has worked flawlessly. Does yours not do the same with the app? Cheers Bloggsy

    Finished first long distance trip!

Okay - a bit more out of the way than what I'm used to! However @Archev and @Edoc16 both travel far and wide, and are very obliging so could maybe recommend chargers to use and one's to avoid for your next trip? Cheers Bloggsy

    Finished first long distance trip!

Ha ha! You're right Archie - I had to check after you've mentioned this. It's Drive Energy and not Ionity. Sorry folks! Cheers Bloggsy

    Finished first long distance trip!

Hi Chris - good job on your trip! Where are you going in Scotland, if you don't mind me asking? The other Scottish members and I could let you know where the newer charging hubs are which. might assist with you getting charged a bit smoother. For example, there's a charging hub in a small...

    Shiny shiny!

Thanks Nutnut - you can always take a trip up to Stirling?! I'd even buy you a coffee if you do decide to take a trip up North. Cheers Bloggsy

    Shiny shiny!

At a recent meet up, Edoc16's car was very clean as he'd got it washed and a protective coating of wax applied by Ultimate Sine Autos, Unit 1, 24 Munro Rd, Springkerse Industrial Estate, Stirling FK7 7UU. Scott Morrison runs the shop and their tel no is 01786 447 466 and charges £60. I spoke to...

    Do i need a type 2 lead ?

As others have said - only the rapid chargers (50Kwh and above) are tethered. All of the others are untethered and, IMHO, I would say you should get a 32A Type 2 cable and keep it in your car. At some of the charging hubs, the rapids are usually very busy plus if you were near 80% and wanted to...

Rear Wiper Comes on in Reverse?!

Your rear wiper automatically comes on, when you select reverse, if you manually wipe the front windscreen but if you don't want it to, ensure the rear wiper setting is on "0" on the stalk, then select reverse but don't wipe the front windscreen (if that makes any sense?)!:p Hope this...

    Service plan / warranty ?

Hi Ska - as far as I'm aware, it's for the car. For me that's the best option as both the wife and I drive it so if it does develop a fault, we just ring the AA no and quote the car's reg no. Although we're on a service plan (not sure how much we pay per month - must check it out!) I...

    Service plan / warranty ?

Don't forget if you get it Dealer serviced, they do any updates and the AA assistance is renewed for another year. You also get a free teddy bear (keeps the youngest happy)! We just had our first year service done and it took them just over an hour! They didn't have time to give it a full valet...

    Sitting waiting

As biffo says - it's better to sit with 'the engine running' than just use the 12V. I suppose you can look at it as one of the benefits of running an EV! Cheers Bloggsy

    1st Charge Advice

Oh dear! That's where I go to recharge when I visit friends and family in Aberdeen  As Alb said, when you lock your car, the charging cable should be locked and only released when you unlock the car (to prevent people pulling out the charging cable as the car's charging as you could...

    It’s goodnight from me ……

Good luck Bob - all the best and thanks for your messages over the past wee while. There's been a few that's moved on after getting some 'crazy' (or 'fantastic', depending on which way you look at it! ;)) quotes for the ZS EV's. Hope to hear from you again! Cheers Bloggsy

    Rapid chargers.

Also, you'll find the chargers with the higher output (i.e. 150 to 300) are going to be more expensive so you'll only charge as fast as the car's limit but still pay for using the fast charger despite not reaching the maximum speed! Hope this helps Cheers Bloggsy

Well Sorry to say the ZS has gone.

I've been reading on other forums that all BEV's are doing very well in the used car market as the semiconductor chip shortage means there's a long delay in the delivery of new BEV's from nearly all makes and models. Obviously it means you can sell your BEV at a really good price but will have...

Well Sorry to say the ZS has gone.

Nice! Strangely enough, that's what I've got and the ZS EV is the wife's car. I'm not retiring so we need both cars! ;) Cheers Bloggsy
