I am pretty sure it was not an open door issue, as when we stopped at the dealership we removed luggage and items from the car, opening and shutting all 5 doors, the problem was still evident. The dealership was condescending, convinced it was a user issue, until they couldn’t get it working...

I am pretty good at RTFM so was able to follow the directions. The dealership confirmed a fault and it will require garage time. As mentioned above after a stop and 25kWh charge and the Cruise would enable you to move it from ready to active. So an intermittent fault :-(
