    GeniePoint GenieFlex Hike

The Geniepoint charger at my local Morrisons is never in use.

    Charging in Edinburgh

No reduction. The price you pay is determined by the charger owner (mostly local authorities). No discount dependent on use of app or rfid. CPS just does the admin for the owners.

    Charging in Edinburgh

Had mine for nearly 3 years, still works fine, and I am not aware it needs replacing at any point. Easy to use and probably required for those areas you are travelling to.

    Toyota Yaris

My advice to ICE drivers is to keep with ICE.....stay away from EV charging stations and leave them for me! ;)

Octopus Go prices rising - again

    What is reinforcement?

Octopus Go prices rising - again

Depends how the profit is made. Increasing charges when the customer has no option but to pay them seems a little dodgy to me.

Octopus Go prices rising - again

OK, I do live in a rural area. However, it's not at all transparent how this charge is calculated and I wonder if it would differ if I moved supplier? The old cynic in me suggests it's quite a nice way for the supplier to profiteer.

Octopus Go prices rising - again

So, how do Octopus justify the DSC being different for different customers? Mine will be going up to 60p.

    Bonnet are crowdfunding?!? 🤔

Exactly. Also, many customers (myself included) won't forget them "stealing" back offers of free charges without giving much (any!) notice. So investing in a company that treats its customers poorly isn't on my radar.

    Bonnet are crowdfunding?!? 🤔

They aren't bothered to explain why in their email.....so, why would you? Bit of a "dead duck", imo.

MG to lose customers for good?

Surely better to send these observations to MG UK rather than hope they will read this forum? Good luck with your Tesla.

Android Auto - GPS Signal Lost

Thanks Gomev. I am running AA v8.7. However, I was out and about today (about 100 mile round trip) and no problems. I used Google Maps as normal but altered AA to have unrestricted battery usage (picked that up as a tip from the Google forum). So, fingers crossed, that's fixed my issue!

Android Auto - GPS Signal Lost

Thanks for the replies. Will try Waze. Will also give the phone a good clean (although it's fairly good but I do keep it in a folding cover so will try without that too). The navigation freezes completely when the error occurs. Bit of a PITA!

Android Auto - GPS Signal Lost

I bought a Motorola G82 phone about 3 months ago and until yesterday it has been "rock solid" connecting and using Android Auto. I use Google Maps for navigation and Spotify for music.....all good. However, yesterday I got an error message using Google Maps - "GPS SIgnal Lost". When this occurs...

Octopus Energy - Sharing my Prices and thoughts - January 2023 onwards…

I'm with you Cocijo. I have had many email conversations with Octopus and they have never responded to any of my emails in less than a week.

Sign of the times I think

Looks more like a Porsche 911 that's been squashed in a vice :) Didn't like the two tone interior either. But then I wasn't too fussed with the MG4 dark interior either. All personal opinion. Knock 10 grand off and it would be worth a second look!

Can't understand why Robert and Jonny Smith are so excited about it. Another compact, unaffordable car. Nothing ground breaking.

    Old Cars

My first car was a Sunbeam Stiletto......basically a souped up Hillman Imp. A real bugger to get started and a bit of a rot box. But I loved it!
