Can anybody recommend a cleaning product to remove faint marks off the plastic chrome trims without scratching it or making it dull ? These marks look like water marks, most likely caused by a combination of the pre-cleaning stuff they spray on at the local hand car wash and SWMBO not washing...

Is the MG5 onboard AC charger the same as the ZS, 6.6kW ? The reason I ask is that, according to my Smart meter monitor, SWMBO's 5 seems to be taking about 0.5kW more when on charge than my ZS. Could the 5 be a 7.2kW ?

Does the MG5 have a higher charge rate on AC than the ZS ? When I charge my ZS my smart meter monitor shows 7.1kW going out (including losses and background load in the house), SWMBO's MG5 shows 7.6kW, same background load in the house etc.

I must say I like the way the charging port locks itself and the car starts charging, as soon as I plug in my home charger on the MG5. It's far simpler than my ZS where you have to actually lock the car to lock in the plug and start the charge.

Why does the car say 100% Finished when it's still balancing, drawing about 400W as indicated by the green light on my Pod Point charger and on my Smart meter monitor ? Shouldn't there be an indication from the car that it's balancing ?

Anyone noticed the current trip screen info is retained after switching off, unlike the ZS. Often in the ZS I forget to check the journey's m/kWh before switching off and switching it back on resets it to ---- In the MG5 it retains it and I can check it by switching the car back on if I forgot...

Anybody else's 5 blow cooler air to the footwell than the other vents ? The only way I can get warm air to the footwells is to turn the temperature right up and even then it's not hot only warm. :( 10 deg C ambient temperature outside today.

Noticed today that on the TPMS screen in the 5, the pressures are in bars and I can't find a setting in the car or settings menus to change it to psi, is there an option somewhere ?

Picked up SWMBO's MG5 today, traded her 2006 Prius and my 2016 Prius and paid just under £8k cash. It's a 4.5 month old ex-demo Dynamic Red Exclusive, with protection pack, only 399 miles on it due to COVID restrictions, well pleased. No more watching the price of petrol ever increasing now...

Just bought a 399 mile, 70 plate, Dynamic red, MG5 exclusive, with protection pack for £21,449 to go with my ZS EV, so we're now fully EV. Traded my 2016 Prius and SWMBO's 2006 Prius and got a very good part-ex on them, well happy.
