17 inch alloys wheels

In the review from WHATCAR ,by Doug Revolta, he shows that the 17 inch alloy wheels , are in fact made of plastic
(see min3:23 )
Is this the case for all models ? SE-SE long range and Throphy long range
Or has e.g the Throphy real alloy weels ?

Saw another review which mentioned plastic over alloys. If you look at the photo of them at the docks in China, they've mainly got alloy wheels apart from one that has steel wheels. Trophy and SE perhaps?

Agree. My initial thoughts on the plastic covers was “meh” but could have some advantages as you say. As an obsessive detailer, I can take ‘em off to clean as well. I was at my MG/Nissan dealer on Saturday, we spoke about wheels and he mentioned that the new Nissan Ariya has plastic covers on alloys. Went to have a look and they look really good, just look like alloys. I suspect the MG4 will be similar from the photos I’ve seen

The EV6 also has plastic aero parts on its alloy wheels. It is the current trend on EVs across the board

I actually quite like the Tesla and the Ariya plastic hub caps.
