2025 HS PHEV Software Versions, Issues and Fixes

I lost cruise control/speed limit recognition etc. It went in for a Software update that failed.
Since the update the rear left parkng sensor will intermittently beep a few times for no apparent reason- Even when travelling on a reasonable road at 30-50mph.
Subsequent update cured the ACC etc but I still have the same sensor issue.
Anyone elsa had the same?

My new lease 75-reg PHEV Trophy arrived this week (Registered new years eve, delivered Friday but I'd asked them nicely to do all the updates before sending it, so it seems like they may have done?)

The newer SWI236-29176-1100R16 System version and 20250109 Maps.
(Hoping this is 1st September rather than 9th Jan!)

It has 4 x USB Cs, and wireless android auto works, I plugged it in with a cable and when I unplugged it it had automagically bluetooth paired itself and was still working wirelessly.

The left hand front USB has a symbol suggesting it's the one to plug the phone in to, so I assumed the right hand usb would be power only, but I plugged a usb-c stick with music on it in there, and it plays fine through the stereo. So it appears I can have android auto AND USB mp3s, both plugged in at the same time, and also I can have android auto wirelessly too. Which, if I ever used Android Auto would be very useful! (I might well start though, depending how the on board satnav behaves.)

So far, so good!

Since you’ve got the my25.5, most people here, myself included, have the my24.
And that feature isn’t available on that model yet. Will it ever be? No idea – I’d guess not.
Wireless Android Auto has been enabled on the BYD via a software update. So it only works via the software. Will MG manage to pull it off? Doubtful...

Mine had its first service this week but they didn't mention any firmware updates. Disappointing.

I updated all the modules myself today.
They’re all up to date now. Except for two – I’ll have to have a look at those again. The procedure seems to be a bit different for them. But I couldn’t be bothered with it today.

Picked up my 2026 Trophy PHEV on March 17th. Came with latest software version SWI236-29176-1100R16. Interestingly in the few short days I've had it, I've suffered none of the reported issues previously stated so perhaps this version is the sweet spot for this car.

Unfortunately, that’s the problem with MG. Updates are only released if you report a bug. And even then, you sometimes have to beg and plead. Only if MG is aware of a security issue do they release updates, but even then, they’re limited to that specific area.
The question of OTA updates came up here: just my opinion, but there haven’t been any so far and there probably never will be.
Perhaps for the my25.5 models (the ones with USB-C), but I have my doubts.
They’ll probably prefer to launch a completely new model and then forget about the old ones.
