From the MG logo at the front, I'd guess that the photo is AI generated. So these updated features are possibly guesses.

In the first few frames of the video it says that the content is generated by AI based on rumours and speculation. No point in any watching any more

Ok, it's not real. But that looks good. Better then the New Blob, MG4 that's doing the rounds. Like everything about it,
front and rear looks good, side profile looks good. And the interior looks great.
Only thing I really don't like, is the stupid Camera door mirrors. I'd definitely consider that, if it was genuine.

I don't think MG are going to switch to a more VW-group-esque look (Skoda, Seat etc.).

And they've said they will keep the current exterior for the export market for the time being, with the new blobby MG4 for the local market.

Not ideal for SAIC to have two different models on the go in terms of their profits, but I'm sure they've got their reasons for the strategy.

The MG4 tanked in China so they are obviously going with a model they think will sell there well

They don't think they can come up with a single model that will sell in all markets.

BYD attempted this with their Dolphin.

Oh forget the image, the point is as per the second article: clearly a new face-lift 2026 MG4 is comng. And the new design language makes sense, it very much resembles the MGS5 (updated replacement for the ZS EV). See for example: 2026 MG 4: Next-generation EV leaked

Stolen from the MG4 Facebook group which no doubt has a large overlap in membership.

Allegedly there is a new MG4 under development in China.

New generation MG4 hatchback revealed in China

Looks similar but a bit more blobby and less sporty.

Bit like a Ford Puma I thought. Or a big MG3 or a mini Model Y.

Possibly this would be a version for the Chinese market only.

On the other hand, if they were planning to roll it out in the UK that might explain the massive discounts on new MG4s we are currently seeing.

As stated frequently and confirmed by MG UK, this is a chinese only model for the MG4, the facelifted MG4 that will eventually come will be European friendly, hopefully including many things from the MGS5

As stated above, this one is planned for China and Asia where the sporty 4 is not popular.

Not for Europe/Aus.

Has anyone (@Miles Roberts CG ?) heard or seen anything about the (apparently) upcoming facelift MG4? I mean the one for the European market, not that hideous looking Asian market design.
My PCP arrangement runs out in November and I would probably go for the facelift model if it was around by then.

No news as yet.

Best to wait until 2nd or 3rd year of production of any new model. That's what I did when I bought my Xpower and for all my previous new cars. For the current MG4 replacement that would mean 2028/29 at the earliest. That would make my Xpower 5 years old and the new models available would also be at their best prices.
