A thumping sound heard when OPD is active

When the OPD is active, a dull knocking sound is heard from underneath, proportional to the rotation speed, when stopping and starting slowly. It is not heard at normal speeds, nor is it heard in normal regen modes. Is this normal when the OPD is active, or is there a problem? The vehicle is 2023 trophy LR current km reading is 81k

I get a dull thump if the car tries braking at slower speed and I override it by pressing accelerator pedal.

By "boot", do you mean the traffic warden compartment?

Mine is the "Nosy Neighbor compartment", but probably the same location.


To the OP: Think you will have to be more specific about this noise, as it does not seem to be constant. My car is always in OPD mode and there are no issues.

Same here, no strange noises in OPD and I use it all the time.
Think it's something you should report

For me, with OPD, when coming to a stop or moving off, can hear the brakes make a light tap noise.

At the same time, with or without OPD or Air conditioning, in a quiet carpark I can hear both the humming sound of the motor, which I guess is normal, as well as a faint flapping noise from the front of the car. The faint flapping noise flaps at the same speed the car is moving. Of course at higher speeds you cannot hear it anymore.
