about to order im6 is it worth it

Trust me it’s a superb car - yes there are some software issues but providing updates follow swiftly OTA all will be good.
You would have to go a long way to find a car more comfortable that is also great to drive.

Only you can really answer that. But on the whole, I'd say yes. Seems like a great motor. I know it's a different MG but before I got my X Power.
I read I lot of negativity about the,
MG4/X Power. But got one anyway, and it's been great, not regretted it one bit.
As I said, up to you.

Oh and.

As above going to order but with so much negative on the im brand is it worth the plung

It is a brilliant car; where it could be far better is the software which seems to be rushed and trimmed down version of the Chinese spec. Hopefully OTAs will resolve this.

Go and test drive it if you have not done already. I would suggest to also test drive the Model Y, XPeng G6 and the BYD Sealion7 since these are the direct competitors.
As for the European ones I am afraid I am quite biased. I find them all mediocre as cars, flimsy software and quite expensive for what they are. Furthermore everything seems to be optional...

Most important though; find a good dealer..it will pay dividends.
This is across all brands with the exception of Tesla where there are no dealers. In this case look for a service centre that is not busy on sales and repairs.

One thing holding me back is the alloys really does make the car looks crap and as i can't have launch or performance as insurance is astronomically high

I don't know your circumstances (age, No claims duration, mileage etc) but when I was looking for insurance on my launch Hastings was cheaper compared to what I was paying to admiral for my 6 years old 90k miles on count Tesla model 3.....

Moved my wife's car too and overall saved quite a lot.

More information needed please:
  • What negatives are you worried about?
  • What model are you going to buy and what do you need the car to do?
  • How fussy are you as a car owner?

I would say remember you are buying a new vehicle from an untested brand, so you need to be pretty tolerant of bugs, issues, less-than-slick servicing and expect fixes and improvements over time.

If you are the kind of person who is looking for perfection, you won't find it here: stick to cars that have been on the market at least two years to get thoroughly debugged (whomever makes them).

Otherwise, all the reports are that it is a great car, with some flaws.

Im going to wait as realy want the launch edition see how the insurance goes and price of car i have a under 2 year old xtrail and mini jcw so can wait see how the updates go and so on.

I can wait to be fair the x- trial epower has been the best car I've owned 2 years never missed a beat i got the mini JCW for a bit of fun.

If you can, wait for zeeker to come out over her le
I would be weary of the level of service provided by such a new entry in the market.
They have so few dealerships in Europe. If they do something similar here unless you happen to live nearby it could end up really badly.
