ACC cutting out intermittently

I’ve never had it turn off, not even when I wasn’t holding the steering wheel to see if it would stop the car eventually. It just turned off the TJA but kept going at the speed set, bouncing between the lines on the ELK.

Possibly, but it's going to depend on where and for how long you drive to whether you see it or not. My car used to not like it when the motorway lines were worn out, it would throw a wobbler and just cancel if it thought it was too long, or they kept coming and going. However, it wouldn't always perform the same in the same place. It also didn't like it if HGV's were slightly coming over the line, or if the lanes were narrow.

Now it just carries on until it see's another line. It very rarely cancelled on smaller or single lane roads even on the original software it came with.
Are we now talking about lane keeping. Because ACC does not cause a wobbler.
About HGV'S:same experience.

Depends what you mean by wobbler. I mean this meaning:

A combination of “sudden unexpected outburst of anger or rage And a person who is uncertain what to do or who changes repeatedly between two opinions

To confirm I’m talking about ACC only. TJA is a travesty, it’s like a toddler driving. Even the acronym makes no sense, why would I need lane keeping (which is more like lane ping pong) in a traffic jam. It’s terrible (even on the latest software).

If you mean that kind of wobbler... that fits the behavior of ACC.
And yes, TJA is not well implemented. It makes you look like a drunken driver.

TJA works when you are in a traffic jam which is what it is for. It does for me anyway. It keeps you in the lane and stops you hitting the car in front. This is at very low speeds, no more than 30kph. You could sit there and read a book and the car just keeps up with the stop/start traffic.

I very rarely experience traffic jams (unless you mean three cars at a roundabout, ehich is traffic here) so I have not used the TJA.
Today I was driving home and there is a long stretch of 60kph due to Roadworks (A council truck has driven over the road sometime in the last month, no actual work being done) and I use the ACC as I find keeping the XPower for a distance is a chore. The ACC just suddenly quit. Having done it a few times now I was more ready for it.
The service dept at the dealer rang me earlier to confirm they will be investigating this issue next week when I have my rear camera replaced.

To me TJA above 30kph feels like driving in very windy conditions. You’re constantly “arguing” with the car what the middle of the lane is. I would use it in a traffic jam, even though I think the acceleration can be somewhat delayed, but I don’t have it on when using “normal” ACC

I think MG just named it that when they realised is was crap. Clearly it was supposed to be for faster roads like motorways (like other cars), but they thought, ot-oh this works like the superb phrase used above "a drunk driver".

It delays acceleration, then just like ACC accelerates far too quickly to feel natural. The car then finds itself having to over-correct as its vision in front is limited.

Unfortunately even later software versions don't fix TKA or ACC from it's ability not to sway, or accelerate smoother.

Software engineers think the car should stay in the middle of the lane. Drivers know this is not the case. It would be difficult to program software to take a line through a corner while correctly controlling power.
