My MG ZS EV (2021 first generation) had a low speed front end bump. Bodywork repairs all done now. However the radar sensor under the front reg plate was dislodged and although it’s now re-secured I’m told the ADAS needs calibrating. I’d rather not pay the main dealer price but my usual go-to auto electrician (obviously not main dealer) says MG hasn’t released the codes. Does anyone know if that’s correct? Or is there a way my auto-electrician friend can get the codes please?

You do need an MG/professional diagnostics tool to access the cars radar learning modules. Aside from that I'm not sure any codes are needed. I've done this on several cars over the years without needing codes but of course it's perfectly possible MG need them. Never done this on an MG. It is a slightly complex procedure. I'm not sure I would entrust this to a non MG service centre as your safety depends on it.
