Aero performance of the ZS EV

Was just thinking, does anyone know the aerodynamic efficiency it's whatever it's called of the ZS, compared to other EVs?
I'm guessing its pretty bad from the look of the car.

I was thinking, the kona has a smaller battery and better range hasn't it? It that all down to the aerodynamics?

There are many factors including aerodynamics that could give better range. Weight, tires and better software would also be contributing factors.

I think there are two different batteries available for the Kona offering different range and price.
But good point regarding aerodynamics.

I rather not know the drag coefficient on the ZS EV??

ZS is bigger and probably heavier than the Kona.

It's a little bigger, but I am not sure it's heavier. But the challenging thing with the ZS it front and front grill, a lot of air is getting caught up in there. The Kona is having a more smooth front area.

I read, I think on speak EV somebody saying the ZS was about 0.33-0.35, the e niro is 0.29 as is the Kona, which is down from 0.34 on the ice model.

I never bought it to be the most efficient car. But a pretty good upgrade on our previous Peugeot iOn with 16kwh battery.
How is your wife getting along with the car now?

Looks like one just has to take the ZS EV for what it is. "Not designed for the formula one circuit".
@JodyS21 if you are not making very long motorway journeys then you are unlikely to be disadvantaged having a ZS EV instead of a Kona.
Has your travel route changed to long motorway driving?

She’s only worrying a little now!
We’ve decided to keep the car now, turned out we signed something that meant we’d have had to pay £1.50 per mile done (~£1k) even if we returned it within 14 days!
We are very worried about next winter but the price we paid was so cheap I think we could sell it for not much less than we paid towards the end of the year if it came to it.
I need some small extra battery to become available to buy to add.

More motorway than was originally envisaged. Lockdown means motorway isn’t as busy, so it’s now the route my wife uses - saves 10-15mins each way.

Im surprised they didn’t make a bit more effort on aero efficiency, I’m no aerodynamicist but I’d have thought sticking a simple big flat under tray the full length under it would’ve helped.

A totally flat underbelly would have been nice, you see that on many new EV's now. EV's that are only designed for being EV's are more carefully designed. The ZS EV is having a bit older design philosophy, but some people are also looking for a car that doesn't look like an EV. (first Leaf) and that is also appealing to some.
