Hi could you describe where you got power for the camera?

I think it has its own battery, and is recharged via a USB-type lead.

Hi I have a selr and have fitted a wireless rear camera put screen on the shelf behind the drive button I would also like to have one fitted to work with the screen but I’m told that it is very unlikely as mg will not allow any messing with it.mine is a auto vox clips to rear number plate

A few photos and spec and price of the auto vox would be helpful.

Thank you. That means there are no cables to be run which is good news Does the mounted camera leave the number plate clearly visible? A couple of photos would be appreciated.

That doesn't actually comply with number plate regulations. There should be a margin above the characters of 13mm.

My daughters partner is a police man and says that it’s fine.
it can be moved up a bit higher which will make it look better
for me it works

Which is why there's ~13mm between the characters and the upper/lower edges of the plate.

Looks like it's blocking the illumination from the number plate light to me.

It's definitely too low, would interfere with anpr cameras reading the plate, as Alb says there should be a minimum gap

Think I had better move it up a bit or it can go on the bottom part of plate
so will not obscure the plate light

I’m thinking there should be an easy solution to use the Infotainment screen - a Bluetooth camera with a Carplay/Android app, then the video goes via your phone. But I can’t seem to find such a thing. Seems like a gap in the market.
