Aftermarket Wheels

Hi @MBogdan, they look very good, but they also look a bit small.
Thanks for the appreciation! Yes, they do look a bit smaller because the tires are 225/45/17 (that’s how I bought the wheels) and they’re about 7mm smaller. In the future, I’d like to go back to the stock size or slightly larger and add a set of H&R springs to reduce this visual effect.

I always find it's best to go up 1" when going from wheel covers to alloys, the wheel covers slightly sit over the rim of the tyres, making them look bigger. If you then switch to alloys the rims seem smaller.

Have you noticed any change in the speedometer? We've had a thread about it ages ago, but never really got an answer I think.

Yes, the speedometer does change — for example, mine shows about 3 km/h higher on the dashboard compared to the GPS speed. At higher speeds, the margin of error increases; for instance, the car is limited to 170 km/h, but when I reach that speed on the GPS/radar, the actual speed is around 165 km/h. If you want to check before changing your wheel sizes, you can use the website willtheyfit.com — just enter your original/current sizes and the ones you plan to use, and it will show you the size differences as well as how the indicated speed on the dashboard will change.

Edit: But with stock wheels dashboard show correct speed I test this, max 0.5 km/h differences.
