Air bag turned off

Recently noticed a notification reading that my passenger side air bag is turned off. Does anyone have an idea how to turn it on again as I have no recollection of how it was turned off. Appreciate comments

If you open the passenger door and look down and to your left, you will see a switch to turn off the passenger air bag, to be used if you have a baby carrier where the baby faces backwards. That has perhaps been operated.

Maybe someone has been cleaning the inside of your car and inadvertently caught the airbag switch as it's quite small.

No it was a key switch something I hadn’t noticed

I took a delivery of a new MG4 yesterday and noticed my passenger airbag is off. When I looked at the passenger side for the switch this is what I found.

Just for the purpose of elimination, have you looked at the other side?

Yes I have. There is nothing on the other side (as you can see on the photo). This is a right-hand vehicle purchased in the Republic of Ireland. I've sent a query to the dealership. The brochure clearly states that MG4 Excite SR has front airbags and passenger airbag deactivation switch, so not sure why this car doesn't have the switch.

You know what? I've never looked at mine, so I've no idea whether that switch is even there.

Mine has it, I noticed it when I was cleaning. I imagine yours has it too!

They moved this control to the infotainment system (Vehicle > Convenience > Passenger airbag).

Mine is 08-2023, and I've got the switch.

I haven't said mine doesn't have it; merely that I've never looked.

@rmpalo's car is new, and they've replied that the control is now a soft switch rather than a physical switch.
