Air con randomly stops working.

Has anyone experienced the cabin fan randomly stopping when using air con on the mk1 Zs ev? Fan and AC switches remain lit but fan will just stop and wont restart until fan switched off and on again and windscreen button hit. Very annoying as might do it every 30 secs to an hour.
admittedly the air from the vents is not ice cold so that’s something else to look at, need to get that checked for leaks and re gas.

You’ve answered your own question , don‘t use ac till it’s regassed as the system is shutting down due to the low gas , they I got to protect it self

I can think of faults including low gas that would disable the compressor but that wouldn't normally switch the fan off

My son had a similar issue with his zs
The dealership made sure all the software updates had been done but it was still the same
They then diagnosed a wiring fault
They had the car for a full day and now the ac and fan are working fine
???????

Happened to me last summer during a hot spell. Apparently a common fault with a faulty resistor. Fixed under warranty quite quickly.

Been in touch with the dealer and they are aware of a resistor issue on the Zs range that may be at fault. So Booked in for checking that out.

I have this exact problem too. Will get it booked in. I cant imagine it needing re-gassing as I barely use the aircon.

Believe it or not the gas depletes faster when you don't use it regularly

My money is on a failed resistor block.
This has been flagged up on a number of ZS EV’s now.
