Almost purchased an MG ZS EV yesterday.

I finally bit the bullet and went to have a look at the car. I didn’t take it for a drive but had a good look over it. I was offered a good deal on my current car and was almost ready to sign up. What stopped me was probably a trivial thing. No type 2 cable supplied. Only a domestic 3 pin plug. I was a bit taken aback by this. I asked the salesman to throw one in to sweeten the deal. He wasn’t prepared to do that, so I left.
Pretend that he offered you £200.00 less for your trade in and threw the cable in. That’s how they keep the headline price down. You won’t be disappointed in the car, although it has its little foibles and idiosyncrasies.

My dealer told me that no EV manufacturer supplies the type 2 cable. I find this very hard to believe. Not everyone has the convenience of home charging.
