Android Auto (and maybe Carplay) wireless with SE

Just thought I would post this in case of interest. Goth Leo, our MG4 SELR, is, as folk here know, one that needs the left USB plug connected for Android Auto to work, giving maps, music etc. As it happens, I was looking for something completely different on Aliexpress and noticed an MG4 (Mulan) section. I did, of course, leap down the rabbit hole. And one of the items was a little USB thing that, it claimed, provides wireless connections for Android Auto and Carplay. It was only about £12 so I thought worth the punt.
It duly arrived, and was simplicity itself to set up - essentially just connect via bluetooth, when it sets up a low-power wifi network between itself and the phone. The car screen then lights up in the traditional way, and it's the same as being plugged in. It's also possible to update the firmware on the device.
Now, I just climb into the car, and a few seconds later, my phone is on Android Auto. Voice commands work as well (or not) as before (tried once saying "Play Baroque Selection" and it responded. "Sure, Playing Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson", which needed to be looked up), music is just the same etc.
Posted because, you know, it's SO yesterday to actually have the hassle of plugging a phone in. ;-)
Yes, l hear you about the 90's USB set up in the car. Such a simple thing to include yet so complicated to get around for many. Usb wifi sticks should be everywhere and $2!

There's no delay with the dongle I bought.

Some dongles if they are left inserted into the USB socket need to have a delay programmed into them before they start to allow the car's software to finish booting up.
