I was just taking a brief drive to test out my new Cross Climate 2 tyres, and whilst listening to my Spotify, I heard a "ding!" warning noise and the volume dropped significantly despite the media volume remaining constant. I know that when I'm listening via headphones to my phone that sometimes it warns me the volume is too high and I have to manually override it....is this the same thing?

It's a bug. I have it often on my Trophy ER.
The level comes up after "something" has happened. So do not increase volume whilst too low, or you will be in for a surprise when that "something" happens!
interesting, thanks! Any idea what that "something " might be or is it any notification?

I have the Same issues, it is a Bug which was as well in R46 and now in R63. In My Case it is a notification from the internal NAV (Schoolzone ahead) which lowers Volume but forgets to reset, same with Low Battery warning. In this Case you can Pause Music and Play again and Volume is Back to normal. I disabled now all warnings from internal NAV, i also do not use it for Navigation.

I'll try that thank you

Today I was able to check with Carplay and in this Setup the Volume will turn back to normal after Voice Prompts. So this Audio Behaviour is only applicable to Android Auto. Has anyone with R67 the possibility if this behaviour ist fixed as well?

I get this all the time, all I do is hit the speak button on the steering wheel, then it says 'how can i help', then hit the button again and the volume comes up again to normal, bit of a pain but it works

You can also hit Pause & Play -> Push Joystick steering wheel on the right twice.. can someone with R67 verify if the issue is fixed?
