Anyone wash their car today? ?

No pavement was harmed in the making of this car clean ;)

And you do realise there is a now 3p per litre supplement payable to the treasury when using water for washing EV's...

🤣 Shush 🤫 for God's sake, don't give them any idea's, they've got enough of them already. 🙄🤪

No - you have to pay the eWater tax in advance by estimating how many litres you will use and then registering it with the DVLA. 🤣

Many a true word....... 🙄🤪

Still under a hosepipe ban here 😟.

I usually add a bit of spray on sealant as a drying aid so at least if it rains later the car has a little more protection and better beading 🙂
Yes we are, in fact I had an email from Yorkshire Water the other day to remind me, I only use buckets to wash the car anyway. 🪣
Woo hoooo, Yorkshire Water hosepipe ban finally ended. 😁

Doesn't the water freeze on the car? No hope of doing that over here at the moment, you couldn't keep the car wet long enough to wash it, probably why all the car wash places are undercover ..... as in a roof overhead, not a secret car washing society ...... it wouldn't be to keep the rain off while you washed it eh  ;)

Should bloody think so the amount of rain we've had just in the last 2 days !! 😲🌧️
(y) They ended it so that you won't be fined when you connect a hose to a submersible pump when pumping out your flood water ;)

I take it a "hose pipe" is just a garden hose, something connected to your tap? There is no actual pipe involved?
Yes it's a bit of a misnomer really, the Water Authorities all say 'Hosepipe' Ban, but it's just a hose ban, which (as you say) is a hose connected to a tap.

I'd call that 'hosiery'. :)
Isn't that messing around with a garden hose, like water fights that are popular at a backyard gathering in this weather this time of yr

Actually, you need to be very careful over this way at this time of yr, the water in the hose can be scalding hot if left laying in the sun .....

Well, I'm not going to encourage you to Google 'stockings' :ROFLMAO:... IMHO hose is more a commonly used in the USA, but Google does say...
"hose" is an older or collective term for stockings, tights, and socks, especially in historical contexts or when referring generally to legwear, but it also refers to modern pantyhose and even flexible pipes. While stockings cover the leg from foot to thigh, "hose" can mean those, tights (which include pants), or the historical men's leg coverings, making it a broader category for leg covering.
