You'd think so. But I've been told, as long as you can't see the cord, which I can't, that it's, fine, safe and would actually pass an MOT. I'm not so sure. Wouldn't trust it, certainly not at speed.

That's my thought exactly, I wouldn't want to do any more than pootling about locally, and speed or distance and I wouldn't trust it.

Having had a Dunlop (remember them) XJ6 tyre blow out on me on part of the road improvement near Watford to get onto the M25 to the M1 many years ago, I was lucky that the roundabout was just compacted soil as I went across it sideways, the chevron boards had not yet been installed. Luckily I had slowed down considerably for the roundabout. Brown underpants big time. I now tend to always buy premium brand tyres from Michelin, Continental or Goodyear. Have never been a fan of Pirelli. Will see how the Bridgestone’s on my new HS Hybrid+ perform.
