So, to get back to the original question of whether we're seeing an empire collapse in real time. Let's consider the evidence. These are Trump's achievements:-

  • Cover up of his involvement in notorious sex trafficking ring
  • Unprecedented corruption, self enrichment
  • Tariffs - an historic, unprecedented abuse of power
  • Illegal desecration of most important global symbol of American democracy
  • abandonment of Ukraine and European allies, appeasement of Putin
  • extraordinary assault on the health care system and the public’s health
  • setting the engines of US prosperity on fire, ceding the future to China
  • starving Americans to gain leverage in Hill negotiations
  • killing of 15 million of poorest people in the world through vapourizing of USAID
  • use of Marines against Americans, trampling of due process, disappearing innocent people to foreign gulags
  • illegal killings of people in boats on the high seas
  • profound physical and cognitive decline, often appears confused and frequently confabulates
  • high likelihood he is compromised by a hostile foreign power, or hostile foreign powers
  • weaponizing DOJ to pursue his political opponents

    I rest my case...

Yes and now he say our troops were never in the Frontline in Afghanistan.
If he'd said that in earshot of my cousin's husband, the Secret Service wouldn't have had a chance to save the Orange Baby ... he'd have had him down and done in a flash.

(He owes his life to a serviceman who dived onto him and covered him with his body when the Taliban made an RPG and AK47 attack on their compound in Helmand. Shrapnel and bullets hit [and killed] him rather than my cousin's husband. Every year he celebrates the memory of that soldier on the anniversary of the attack).

Please, don't rest your case! There is so much more both foreign and internal policies which are morally corrupt.
I personally feel for Cole Palmer who must be conflicted, he had the right and the opportunity to splatter the orange nose after he stole a medal and hogged a Trophy ( football not MG ) yet showed a level of restrain not in line with his Mancunian upbringing. Next time mate, next time.

From "The Bare Naked Ugly Truth" on Facebook.
I haven't included the last few paragraphs because it descends into a sweary rant.

The Trumps family have NEVER EVER served their country in 150 years! They dodged 2 world wars. The Korean conflict and The Vietnam war.
Donald Trump personally dodged the draft FIVE TIMES with imaginary "bone spurs" diagnosed by a Doctor his father (Fred Trump) was said to have paid off and who also happened to live in a Trump owned so called luxury apartment.
So from a man to gutless and entitled and scared to put on a uniform and fight or even to do his national service. To say on Fox News last night in front of the whole world that the UK
"We never needed them! We never really asked anything from them"
"They'll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan," he said, "and they did, they stayed a little back, a little off the front lines"
America was the only country in history to ever trigger article five which was a plea for military assistance.
UK special forces (SAS) Took on some of the most dangerous missions in the entire conflict including under cover missions in Helmand Province and infiltrating the Tora Bora cave complex and they also secretly operated within Kabul itself.
They were not on the front lines! They were actually the only units skilled enough to operate behind enemy lines!
Tasked with guiding US missile and artillery strikes and also killing several ruthless Taliban commanders in their own back yard.
One former top US commander at the time wrote this in his war diary...
"Those SAS boys were a completely different breed ! We were all a little in awe of them!
Utterly fearless! Utterly professional and totally disciplined and extremely deadly. You certainly did not ever want to be on the business end of those guys.
They did some missions that no other "special forces" in THE WORLD would have ever dared to take on !
Let alone successfully achieve the military objectives and they did it all with very little fuss or fanfare"
Another Canadian military officer described a scene he came across in the protective zone.
"We saw the US special forces "SEAL team" guys standing in a small group looking like Hollywood movie stars with their gold aviator glasses on and their shiny boots and beautiful pristine uniforms and all bristling with polished weapons.
Further down the protective zone on the side of a mud road we saw a group of really dirty rough looking dudes with grubby faces and unkempt beards wearing tatty Afghan robes and traditional Arab headgear some with just their glaring eyes showing.
We were all joking that even though we were in the protected zone, we didn't know if we should just actually shoot them to be on the safe side!
Good job we didn't!
We later learned they were the Brits!
The legendary SAS - 22 regiment and hidden under those dirty tatty long robes they were armed to the fudgeing teeth and all those weapons were discreetly pointing at us and I will tell you!
They were really mysterious scary hard looking mother fudgeers"
405 UK troops died in combat in Afghanistan with another 737 inflicted with life changing injuries.
