Local dealer for MG is telling me that AS-TEC-02112023-01 undertray fix bracket that MG is not delivering this element anymore and that it is out of stock. I would like to check with others if this is true or if you can order this part yourself elsewhere?

My local dealer at first denied all knowledge of the bulge problem and the bracket and screws kit to fix it.
It took them 3 weeks to get the part, after eventually admitting it did exist, then I had the MG dealer 3 week wait to book the car in to have it fitted.
MG dealers are s**t at customer service!

Depends on the dealer. I gave mine the technical bulletin number just to make it easier. It took a week to get the parts in, they emailed when they arrived offering a slot 4 days later to fit while I waited, I was in there for 30 minutes.

I did the same only to be advised by a service member that the bulge wasn't an issue. The head engineer hadn't heard of the issue or fix either. Once he'd spoken to MG directly to check the veracity the document, they fixed it.

I'd mentioned the bulge when collecting the car in Oct 22 before the fix was available. I happened to be there when my car was being delivered on the top deck of the transporter so I'd had a good view of the underside. When I booked in a service after the bracket had become available I was told by the dealer (Brown & Gammons) that they'd got one in ready to fit to my car. I don't think I'd ever reminded them. They just sorted it out. They did the same with my under bonnet sound proofing pad which was missing on mine from new. Again they sorted one out and fitted it without me chasing them. There are some good dealers out there who do their best.
