Finally some proper incentives for EV purchase have been announced by the NSW state government (the ACT has had good incentives for a while but it's a very small market). The federal government is still thoroughly opposed.
After September 1 there will be a $3,000 subsidy and stamp duty will be waived. That means an MG ZS EV will cost $39,700, nearly 10% off the current price and quite close to some rival ICE SUVs. They will also invest in a lot more rapid chargers.
