The old EHS has a 10-speed transmission, while the new HS PHEVs use a 2-speed transmission. As you can see in the image, it uses SL2808 transmission oil. During 0–62 mph acceleration, it prioritizes the electric motor, so you barely feel the gear changes. In normal driving, it is also difficult to notice the shifts. Compared to the previous generation, this system is much more refined and seamless.
