Following, but I think we all waiting for what struts you sourced.

The struts are original. I just added springs from an old RC car.
Once you pop the strut off, you can unscrew the head and pop the spring in.
I am sourcing a new set of springs as the set on the video doesn't work all the time.
I'll update once I've tested.

Most impressive, and seems a reasonably cheap and easy solution.

I'd like a detailed how-to at some point please, along with some measurements so I can get the right springs

None now. I had a chassis that came as a job lot of stuff. I'm not Into the TV stuff but the spring came in handy. It looked like a DIY monster truck.
