Not an MG
Well I must have gone through a chunk of the SAIC MG catalogue, Mk1 3, GS, ZS mk2, 5SE, 4XP and S5 Trophy. All have been outstanding in their field regarding value, reliability, driving experience all-in and electrically at least super economical. To top all that off the residuals were better than good, coupled with a great relationship with my Main Dealer, which explains the frequent upgrades!
Following a gradual career wind down that rapidly came to a close, I decided to cut my cloth. A cursory glance at Auto Trader presented a one owner LR Exclusive at my nearest MG dealer. 65k miles, virtually mint, FMGSH and up at 9k. Went in on Tuesday, did a deal (that involved zero cash input to clear the pcp - only made six payments in the nil-deposit S5) and collected it fully prepped an hour ago. I’d kept the rubber mats, boot liner, spare wheel kit and unused set of mudflaps from my first 5 so they’re all in now.
I’m mightily impressed with the simplicity of the PFL5 and aside from having to plug my phone in for CarPlay, I have immediately settled with the OS. The only other stuff I have given up is one-pedal, the app, in fact that’s all.
Sitting here with a nearly-paid-for 71 plate car that I know is going to be long term suitable and has an excellent reliability record, well it’s kind of comfy slipper motoring.
One happy bunny….

Well I thought this car wasn’t the comfy ride of other MG5s I’ve driven, thank the dealer for sending it out with 2.7bar in the tyres. Dropped back to 2.2 and it’s the squishy MG5 it should be! Still a bit pitchy at the back so I’ll prepare to swap the shocks at some point. I assume the previous owner ramped up the tyres as they must have been using it well, 64k in 4 years.

The MG 5 are the best bargains about if you want a simple reliable EV. I shall be keeping mine for many more years.
Same here, I have a face lift 5 and have no intension of replacing it. ( my second 5 - the first one was excellent too )

The only MG that has caught my attention is the new MG4 premium extended range. I simply dont like the blob shaped suvs that seem to be every where
