Battery heating

The battery heating seems to be switched on every time i start the car , should it not be switched off by default ?

Yeah, mine always remains off. I haven’t had need to use it yet, as I haven’t used a rapid charger when it’s cold.

If it is defaulting to 'on' you are missing a software update to fix that, though your dealer may not consider this a big enough issue to fix before next service.

Mine occasionally, randomly, asks me if I want to switch on battery heating because "it's a bit cold out" (I paraphrase). It does this absolutely irrespective of the actual temperature, including one day recently when its own outside temperature was reading 17 degrees.

Mine does that with the option to tick a box not to ask again

I was reluctant to tick that box, being so new to the car, but maybe that's the thing to do. On the other hand it doesn't do it very often, and it's little trouble just to tell it NO. I just think it's weird behaviour.

Ticking the box only stops it asking. It doesn't remove the option if needed at a later date.
Having said that I haven't ticked the box either ?

I had that once recently on one of the warmest days. I ignored it.
