Hello, I have just recently got my MG ZS EV mk2.

I have successfully binded the car to the app however I cannot change the target battery level to 80% after a lot of thinking in the app I get a failed message. Also when trying to do it from the car directly i get the below error exactly as this vid.

Can anyone explain please?

I have looked through the forum and google and haven't managed to find a solution yet.

Thanks

If you've got the standard range version, you cannot set the battery level to 80%. The car will always revert to 100%.

Yes I do have the SR version. Thanks for the information, much appreciated.

It doesn't really make sense to me. SR or LR should still have full battery management.

Thanks

Nope it's to do with the battery technology in play. There's lots of threads in this forum explaining the differences.

That's not battery management, it's just a charging limit.

They removed it in the SR to promote more frequent 100% charges which the LFP battery in the SR needs more to get more accurate SoC from the BMS.

It's no biggy. Just use the schedule charging to restrict to 80 instead.
