I have activated the key on my phone. Does this mean that if I were to lose my fob I would still be able to drive the car until I get my new fob?

you should first try the digital key. Keep your fob home or in a protected shielded bag. My experience with the digital key is not good. Can open the car. But can not “start” driving. Got message “key not found”

I find I get the "key not found" message, but as soon as I press the brake pedal it all kicks into life.
I’d imagine this is the expected behaviour as the physical key likely doesn’t use Bluetooth to communicate with the car

I used to be able to open the car and drive away with only the Bluetooth key. Now I can only open the car.

The software is clearly flakey so best to consider the Bluetooth key as a useful gimmick rather than a reliable alternative key.

Agreed ... it works for me, yet I have the SE SR so it isn't even supposed to - that's supposed to be a Trophy-only feature. ;)
