Hi all, has anyone changed / replaced a rear brake light bulb on an MG4 TROPHY
Just had a service and first MOT and noticed brake light not working couple of days later.
Thanks in anticipation

Pretty sure the brake lights are LED so that's a warranty defect.

This suggests that you are correct. The warranty document says that Bulbs are only warrantied for 12 months / 15k miles, and appears to be silent regarding LED lighting. This suggests that headlamps and tail/brake lamps are warrantied for 7 years, but knowing MG they'll try to classify them as Bulbs. 🙄

Agreed and I think MG will try and wriggle out of it.

AI definition -
Traditional Bulb (Incandescent): These work by heating a tiny wire filament until it glows white-hot. It’s essentially a heater that happens to produce light as a byproduct.
LED (Light Emitting Diode): This is a semiconductor device. It creates light by moving electrons around in a solid material. It stays cool to the touch because it doesn't rely on heat

I just had one of my rear led light housings replaced under warranty on my 18 month old ZS EV.
