Can you tell what software version you have?

As per title really. Is there I can tell whether service campaign SC077 has been undertaken on a car I'm considering buying, other than taking the seller's word for it?

There may be in the engineering menus, but I doubt a seller would let your rummage around in there.

Thanks. I was hoping it might be as easy as it is on an android phone where you can easily find your software version.

You can see the infotainment software version, but there are so many parts that can be upgraded. I wonder if there is a way to find out by vin number, maybe ask the people in the software update thread, they would know.

I thought it could be useful to have a thread for software update news. I am collecting my car tomorrow and have a feeling that I will be back several times for software updates. Perhaps we can use this thread to keep each other informed when updates appear (I wouldn't rely on my dealer to be on the ball with this)

You can ask any MG dealer if all outstanding service actions have been done. They'll need the VIN for that.
