I picked this reader because that's the one that was mentioned together with the eZS app. It turns out that eZS isn't available in my region, I tried the APK from 3rd party site, but I can't install it, phone not supported error. My phone has the latest Android so I don't know what's the problem there.
Anyway, I downloaded the free version of Car Scanner, no luck. Then I bought Torque Pro and read around, I found some PIDs ( GitHub - peternixon/MG-EV-OBD-PID: PID file for MG ZS EV suitable for use with Torque Pro ), got them added. I don't know if they will work since I have the facelift version but couldn't hurt. I didn't find a better option.
Neither app is able to connect to the ECU.
I recently had the car serviced, asked for software update so I can charge at Tesla stations. I didn't ask what else they updated.
