CarPlay disconnecting ZS EV facelift 2022 model

My wife and I have iPhones (15 and 13 Pro Max) updated to the latest version of iOS (17.4.1)

We have noticed in the last couple of weeks that CarPlay just disconnects after a few minutes of use and will not reconnect to the phone. We have tried different cables, also rebooted our phones and the car system, but no luck. What is odd is that the phone is charging just fine when plugged in. Just CarPlay will not work.

Anyone else experiencing these CarPlay issues? Any suggestions?

There are quite a few posts about this, best to search for "CarPlay" or "Android Auto". I noticed that out of 5-6 different cables, only one would work at all so I would start with whether you changed cables or whether the one that worked was damaged. Try with as many cables as you can.
The other solution is to get wireless dongle for about £13 on AliExpress and try your luck with that, I'm using one and it works fine.

Get the wireless dongle. Never looked back after I got it.
