If I’ve understood the manual correctly, there’s no direct shortcut button for CarPlay. But is there a way to assign one, maybe through the customisable buttons or another method?
It looks to be different for Trophy vs SE. I think partly as the built in nav in the trophy has been assign buttons. But there's a soft button on the Infotainment screen that you can press?
Also, if you press the Phone button on the steering wheel whilst CarPlay is connected then the CP screen should open at the dialler app. (That's what happens with AA in my car anyway).
HiI can't comment categorically re. the Trophy ... my SE actually has 2 soft buttons - one each for AA and CP. I know in other makes of car the AA/CP control is a universal one for mirroring, and it launches whichever option is connected. Is there no similar control on the Trophy?
Thanks it’s more when driving and I switch to change AC for example and want to go back. It used be nice on the MG5 having a single click button the steering wheel to return to CarPlay. On the Trophy home screen there are soft buttons for AA and CP on the left side underneath the weather tile. In my case when connected the AA tile darkens to show it is available to be pressed. (It automatically displays maps when first connected.)
You can long press the ‘voice command’ button on the steering wheel that should activate Siri and just say ‘open maps’ or whatever app you wish to go back to.Thanks it’s more when driving and I switch to change AC for example and want to go back.
