After the disappointment of a golf r pulling on me at 26% earlier in the week, the XP more than made up for it having a good little play with an R8 and a Ferrari (gumball 3000 livery) tonight, nothing too dangerous, and the XP pegged them nicely off of rolling roundabouts

Mk 7 Fiesta ST labelled "the wee monster" amongst multiple stickers and wide body 'aero' add-ons. Looked like they'd spent a fair bit on mods but hard to see in the rear view mirror. Not really fair but they seemed keen

Had a bit of a "do" with a Tesla Model 3 Performance, this morning. Neck and neck for a while, but it was obvious he was prepared to go to silly speeds and I wasn't, so backed off. And he went off into the distance, no doubt, pleased with himself. They are quick.

Yeah, not much you can do if someone wants to go silly. I had the same last weekend when I was in my Model Y. The Model 3 is a little faster but I almost kept up till we reached the speed limit then I let him go. Not met one in my MG yet.

Having the sense of licence preservation should overcome the satisfaction of a small time win, well done. In my biking days , if I wanted to do 80/85mph on a motorway there would always be someone (car) who would want to beat you, When they came past ginning/smirking middle finger etc, I'd pretend to be bothered and try to "race" whist hanging back letting them have the glory of beating and maintaining the win at 85/90 mph. This gave me a 2/3 second warning of any hidden speed cameras as the flash was reflected off their rear quarters . A squeeze of the 6 pots soon scrubbed off enough velocity to resume legality.
